2 Years Old

You've had a birthday, shout hooray...
December 9th, 2008
I offered to watch these cute boys so their moms (both of whom are on my enrichment committee) could go to the fabric store (to buy stuff to decorate for our RS Christmas dinner) without them. We had a great time playing play-do and running around in the back yard. Jack thought it was pretty cool to have friends over and the fact that it was his birthday was a plus. Even though he didn't know it was different than any other day, it made me feel like a nice mom!

He didn't want to take a nap on his birthday. I heard him happily playing and talking to himself for quite a while and walked in to find that he had thrown all blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals overboard, taken his pants off, reached over to his crib and grabbed a shirt off his changing table and tried to put it on... when I walked in and started laughing at the sight, he got a little embarrassed. Then he got even more angry when I pulled out the camera!

Growing up, we always got to choose what we ate for dinner that night. So, when I asked Jack what he wanted for dinner he said, "Pizza/Hotdog" (one word). Which,of course, by translation means SAMS Club.
He ate the whole darn thing...
After dinner we came home, had cake and opened presents.

After he ate cake, opened his ABC blocks, Thomas the train shoes, Henry choo choo train with a "Percy Saves the Day" DVD, we gave him his "biggest" birthday present... A giant dumptruck. He was not as excited as he was with all the other presents, but give the guy a break, at this point he was so over stymulated! He liked it much more the next day.
He carried his choo choos around the entire night.

Then I told him it was time for bed, and he wasn't too keen on the idea of putting them down for anything!
2 year old stats:
He is right in the middle of the charts in every category!
Height: 33 inches
Weight: 27 lbs
Head: can't remember

It looks like Jack got hooked up. That large truck looks like a dang good time waiting to happen. I hope things are going well on your end.
