Our "Post" law school plans are confirmed!!!! After John graduates from law school in May, 2010, we are headed to clerk for Judge Stephen McNamee, a federal district judgein Phoenix. John is so excited to learn from such a respected judge and to gain new insights into what makes a good advocate and how judges make decisions. After our year in Arizona we will move to Orange County, California where John will work at the law firm, Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker. We had a great experience with the firm this summer and are thrilled to head back to the beach after our year in Arizona.
We are so excited to go to Arizona because...

We get to live closer to G&G Soelberg and LOTS of cousins

Jack can't wait to help with Saturday chores AND he can't wait to live by "Marky and Grandpa's calf". That's right... my parents have a cow in their backyard in Mesa, AZ and the house we'll be living in that year shares a backyard with my parents!

We get to help pick (and eat) yummy blackberries from G&G bushes...
and climb in the grapefruit trees!!

I had gotten so excited about California! I made these cupcakes back in October when we were deciding between CA and AZ...but that fun will just have to wait!

We are so glad to have some confirmed plans for the future!

WOO-HOO!! Congrats!! I feel a little jealous of such a fun AZ experience... it'll be so fun for y'all! And it's way easier to visit AZ than North Carolina!! I love that last picture of you three tan babes and then Jonah's white skin--that was so Sabrina last year when I was afraid of her little baby skin getting sunburned. :-) Super cute pictures of Jack too. Ella can't WAIT to sing to Jack tomorrow--she's been telling everyone it's his birthday, and came up with the idea to sing "perfect present" that we've been practicing, as well as happy birthday, of course. Be excited, you're in for a treat.

Congrats on the final decision. I thought Jack had bruised his face but alas he was just munching on fruit. Sounds like another wild ride! Can't believe you're done.

Fantastic news! That is so great that John got a clerkship and that you get to spend some time close to your family.

I am still on track for graduation in May and hope to see you when I come out to defend or when we come back for graduation. It has been too long! Ariel xoxoxo
