We experienced Jack's first allergic reaction a few weeks ago...
Pistachios! He's never had them before, and since everyone else was eating them, he wanted some too. At first he just started sticking out his tongue. I thought, "Maybe he thinks they're yucky..." but then he kept asking for more... I realize now that his tongue was itching him really bad. Soon after that his lip started swelling up. I'm not sure if you can tell by those pics... he's got a pretty
luscious upper lip :-) Then he started itching everywhere (especially his little bum bum) and saying, "ouch, ouch" and "don't want it".
Well, now we know for next time, NO PISTACHIOS! We're so glad it wasn't a worse reaction cuz I would have freaked out. I was already so scared that I let him stay up till like 10pm cuz I wanted to make sure that he was completely back to normal. I didn't know if the reaction was going to get worse, but I'm so glad it didn't.

Wow...I'm really hoping our kids don't get as many allergies as Brent had when he was little! It's so weird that it's pistachios! Didn't see that one coming, did you!! It sounds like you handled it well.
sweet butt crack! I can't believe how big he's getting! It's only been a couple of months since we've seen you guys and Jackers already looks all grown up!
That is one of my biggest fears. Anytime I give Eva something new I always wonder if she will be allergic. But I'm glad that his reaction wasn't too bad. He looks pretty cute with big full lips.
