Jack lingo 101

PUMPKIN... not to be confused with a crude term found on the lower half of ones body...

Butt cheek! I heard him saying this in his room last week and was appalled at what I was hearing. Being very taken back at what was coming from my son's mouth (knowing very well he had NEVER heard such words from his father and certainly NOT from his mother) I went in to see what he was doing and found him playing with this pumpkin decoration he had taken off of our end table... then I started laughing... and then I got the video camera! Its a game every day trying to figure out what this kid is saying. Who would have thought pumpkin would ever come out sounding like butt cheek?

Today when I was driving home from church I was giving him high fives to keep him awake in his carseat and all the sudden he started yelling, "wock, wock". Which in Jack's language could mean a number of things: Walk, Rock, Block, etc. I thought he wanted to go for a walk so I said, "When we get home we'll put your shoes on and go for a walk" He insisted, "NO, WOCK!" I turned around to look what he was pointing to and he had his hand in a tight fist wanting to "pound the rocks". He was too cool for high fives anymore, he wanted mommy to give "stick it/pound it"! SO I hit his nuckles with mine and he nodded his head, looked at me and said, "Yah mommy!" He's so cool.

where did he get that from Pumpkin!?! That is the best Halloween story ever!!! Maybe that's what he should be for Halloween... a PUMPKIN not a butt cheek! But when he tells people what his costume is, that would be hilarious!!!

Oh that made me laugh. It really does sound like Butt cheek! What a cute little boy. It's so fun but a little annoying trying to understand a 22 month old.
