Recent conversations with Jack:
Jack stands on the scale in the bathroom and proudly says, "WOW! I'm 100-o-clock inches heavy... that means I'm a VERY tall, strong boy!"... yes it does Jack... yes it does :-)
Jack: "Mommy, it's my turn to read the scriptures... And it came to pass that the mean troll was waiting under the bridge. But behold the goats were hungry so thus they went over the bridge and partook" ..... So, at least we know he's getting the language, but we'd better work on the stories a little more :-) We ended the night by reading "The Three Billy Goats Gruff"!!!
Jack has been eating me out of my fridge lately. Every waking moment he's telling me he's hungry (even when he's eating). This morning he woke me up with a kiss and after about 10 minutes of him trying to get me out of bed and go down to fix him breakfast he said, "Mom, if I don't get breakfast soon I might squish you!" Tomorrow I think I"ll just leave a box of cereal outside his bedroom door...
After continuous jumping off of our coffee table in hopes to "scratch the ceiling" (because he thinks he's SO TALL) he comes over to me with a HUGE smile and says, "Mom, I think I have a great idea" He runs over, gets his step stool and puts it on top of the coffee table... "Now I can REALLY scratch the ceiling"... "Hate to bash your dreams, but mommy don't think that's such a great idea Jack!!"
Jack comes to me in complete seriousness: "Mom, you might think I'm a race car, but I'm not... I'm just a REALLY FAST boy"... then he sprints to the mailbox!
I nanny a little girl (Lily) whose dog (Bear) had to be put to sleep because he had cancer. When we went over to give our grievances on the day it happened Lily said, "My dog had a sore on his leg [referring to the cancer] so we had to send him to a farm"... a few days later I was snuggling Jack at nap time when I noticed a scratch on his leg. I asked him what happened and he said, "I hurt my leg mom. Please don't send me to the farm". I kissed and hugged him for a long time and simply said "I will NEVER send you to the farm Jackers!"
I LOVE BEING A MOM!!!

That is so sweet! And No, I don't think any of us Moms would send our kids to a farm. :) Your boys are just too cute!
