Mesa temple Christmas lights! Since New Years Eve is the last day the lights are on... we figured we'd better go :-) And I'm so glad we did!! They were spectacular.
It's hard to believe that 5 years ago to the day, John and I had been dating for 2 months when we came here on New Years Eve of 2004. Later that night he said, "I love you" for the first time... This is the first time we've been back in Mesa for New Years Eve since that night. So fun to remember those fun, new, exciting times.
After the temple lights, we headed over to Amber and Neil's house for our New Year's Party! Amy and I put our kids to bed at their house (all of her kids were with their dads for new years). We played a hilarious game (I can't remember what it's called). But it's basically the game "Telephone" except you're acting it out. You choose a Person, Place, Action and act it out without talking. For example, Chris Farley at the beach cooking dinner. The group decides the three categories while 3 people are waiting in another room. Then they come out one at a time and get to see the series one time, then the very last person has to guess what we chose based on previous acting. I don't think I've laughed until I cried for a VERY long time. But we did that night.
