Snow days in Durham

Thursday Jan. 28th was a beautiful sunny day. We simply HAD to have some outside time! Here are my little monkeys eating bananas on the park pench.
Wearing their matching "Arizona" shirts my sister JaNae gave to me when Jonah was born. She gave us these shirts because 1)her first 2 kids were boys and loved putting them in matching shirts and 2) she hopes we'll move back to AZ!!
Brotherly love
There was a huge group of kids there from some church school.

There's my Jackers coming down the green slide.
After they got back on their school bus and left the park he asked, "Mommy, how come I was the only kid here with white on my skin?" Welcome to North Carolina! He's an observant little boy.
Friday January 29th
We had the missionaries over for dinner that night. When we walked outside to take them home, it was snowing and turns out there was just enought snow on the cars, so we had a snow ball fight!! It was so fun.
Jonah was already in bed. It hits 7pm and he's leaping for his crib.
Our first year of law school, the first and only snow fall was the weekend of Jan 21st. Our 2nd year of law school, the only snow fall also came on the weekend of the 21st. Granted, this snow storm was one week late (according to its past records) but that's OK because this one takes the cake. More snow that we could have ever dreamed of. We woke up to beautiful white powder.
"Standing outside with my mouth open wide... ahh a ah ahhh ah a ahh a ahh ahhh"
Sledding with Daddy
Hailey made these AMAZING cinnamon rolls for breakfast. They were soooo yummy.
Hailey making her snow angel.
This is his riding fire truck. Oops, maybe we shouldn't have left toys outside that night. Jonah Ray

"But Mommy it's coooooold"
We were the first foot prints in the snow!

The next day church was cancelled (because of the snow) and we spent some wonderful family time together all day long. It was awesome. Jack giving Mr. Snowman a kiss.
John, Jack, Hailey, Jonah!

It's a little strange looking at all these snow pictures in the middle of a summer-themed blog background, but the pictures are still pretty cute!
