Is my baby really 18 months old??

We're still getting into "normal" life here in AZ. I feel like life is just getting faster and faster and then that puts me further and further behind on my blogging, projects, and goals. I don't feel like I quite have both feet on the ground. I wish I didn't feel that way, but I do. Always behind on something. Oh well!! We're happy and blessed and life is so good. I'll get caught up someday (or maybe I won't) but for now, I just had to take a quick minute to update about our sweet little Jonah Ray.

I LOVE this age. Every day I wake up I think, I don't think it's possible for my little Jonah bug to get any cuter, but then he somehow does!
Jonah is an extremely happy child. His smile somehow makes every worry in the world go away. He'll smile at anyone or anything that will look at him.
Jonah will eat ANYTHING. I LOVE not having a picky eater for a change. He eats anything I put infront of him and as any other 18 month old, he insists on doing it all by himself... regardless of the mess it might leave mommy to clean up.

Jonah is a TEASE!! He doesn't care how old the person is he's associating with, he likes to get a rise out of people. Here he is taking Jack's most prized toy (his car carrier) and running as fast as he can away from the scene of the crime-- as if we wouldn't notice?!?
Jonah LOVES Balls. He throws them with his entire body and yells "Baaaa" while he's doing it. He is adventurous and a dare devil. He has very little caution and thinks he's just as big as Jack and therefore should be able and allowed to do anything that Jack does. Jonah trips and falls and hops right up as if nothing ever happened. It would be uncommon if this kid DIDN'T have at least one bruise on his body at all times... and most of the time they're on his noggin.
Although Jonah might not say many words, he sure has NO problem communicating. He yells and points until we guess it right. Sign language has been our friend the past couple months. He signs: More, Milk, Help, Please, All done. He's really given Jack an ear full. Jonah's got something serious to share!! Sweet Jack is saying, "What do you want Jonah?"
Jonah is a HAM. He loves cameras, attention, and (clearly) chocolate pudding.

Jonah's Verbal Skills:
Yeah-- His answer to pretty much any question
Bie Boo-- Bottle
Nigh Nigh-- Ni-Night
Nana--Banana
Baaah-- Ball
Hiiii- Hi
Ba Bye
Ut Oh
Momma
Dadda
Baba-- Grandma
Bapa-- Grandpa
Wheeez-- Please
Mooew--More
Aye Done-- All done
Ja--Jack
Moo-- Cow

I haven't had time to choose/find/contact a pediatrician so no 18 month stats for this kid right now. I kinda knew this would happen so I purposefully took him to the doctor right before we left NC to get all caught up on his shots. But he's healthy, happy and learning so much every day. What more could a mom ask for?? We love you Jonah. We're so thankful for the joy you bring every day into our family.

Oh man, those Jack comments are the ultimate best! As John would say, Velik!
I've gotta get a phone that will call Jesus and the Nephites.
Glad to see you guys are doing well. I miss seeing you two around!

What a cutie! He is so precious. He looks bigger too! I can't get over how quickly kids grow and change even in just a few weeks. Glad to see you are all doing well!
