Easter Fun!

We had a great Easter this year. We ate yummy traditional Easter dinner, did the hunt, and had a wonderful time at church. I taught the Sunbeams that day (substitued for sweet Melissa Hansen... I hope you're feeling better) and I had such a great time. I love that age. It melted my heart to hear these little 3 year olds trying to say the word, "resurrection!" I love little kids.

A few of us friends got together at a park a few days before Easter for the big hunt! Cute kids getting ready to run! (Jack, Soren, Corban, Ryan, Lily, Asher, and Natalie is chasing Ethan in the background!)
Jack was a little young for the whole easter egg hunting game. He found one egg and was satisfied! Oh well... I didnt' want him to have the candy anyway. At least it left more eggs for the older kids!
Jack loved finding fun surprises inside the eggs! He got a little frustrated when he couldn't open them. He's so funny.
Tradition in John's famiy is to hide the easter basket somewhere in the house. I told him that the Easter bunny wasn't gonna make it to our house this year, but I just couldn't resist. As soon as I told him "Honey, I hid an easter treat for you somewhere in the house" he said, "Let me guess... I hope it is Rice Krispy Treats or maybe a bag of Starburst Jelly beans (his favorite)". I just smiled and said, "Start looking". I have never made RKT with jellybeans in them (hence I only put it on half of the pan just incase he didn't like it), but turns out he loved them! I can't believe he guessed it right on the nose! I was so excited :-)

Happy Easter Everyone!
