St. Patty's Day

Happy St. Patty's Day. We are very glad John made it home late last night from his 10 day trip to Alaska. He had a fabulous time and is still adjusting to the 4 hour time difference. Poor guy didn't fall asleep until 4am! We had a great "welcome home"/St. Patty's breakfast for him the next morning (after he slept in a little).

Green Eggs and... Bacon. We ate delicious green omelets and green milk for breakfast. Jack thought the green eggs were pretty funny. He kept saying, "Silly mommy, zoze (those) are geen (green) eggs!"
And John was festive in his green shirt
I didn't really feel like going to the grocery store for corned beef and cabbage so we ate more green food for dinner: spinach salad, asparagus, and Lucky Charms... That counts right? That little dude is a leprechaun... there's a rainbow!! (If you can't tell, Jack got to the box of cereal before we did, hence the nice demolished box... he was pretty excited to say the least). The only thing missing that night was Darby O Gill and the Little People. Maybe next year :-)

We didn't even CELEBRATE this year! It makes me still want to do it before March is over (story of my life, to do things "late than never") but I don't think anything could ever top our "Green Party" in Provo! That was so fun. And the boys actually enjoyed watching that crazy movie! It was fun to watch because we love it so much

Oh we didn't really celebrate either...besides wearing green. I'm so impressed that you still feel motivated enough to celebrate holidays!! Way to go, Melanie!! I got a kick out of that Lucky Charms box. Nice... Glad John's home ok.
