Welcome Home Duke

Duke fans gave these NCAA Champions a proper welcome home party!!

John drove all night long (from Indianapolis) after the game last night to be here for the Duke homecoming (oh, and to see his family who he hasn't seen for 5 days). We were all very happy to see him, even though he hadn't showered, had a major fro, and remnants of white and blue paint stripes still on his face.

Jack would not leave his side for the longest time. He missed his daddy. It was so precious.

We watched a replay of the game on the jumbo screen and playing on the bleachers while we waited for the players to get home. (Their flight was delayed an hour).

They showed a live camera at the airport while the team stepped off the private plane. The entire stadium errupted and waited impatiently as they made the 20 minute drive from the airport to campus. We got in our seats and got ready! Jonah really enjoyed being contained...

coach K gave his thanks, remarks, and we also heard from several of the players.
(I have lots of awesome footage).

I'm not sure if Jack was bored, or just extremely exhausted (drained by the fact that it was pushing 90 degrees that day) but he managed to sleep, then transfer to the stroller, then remain asleep the whole car ride home.

Welcome Home NCAA Champs. Such a great day.

Spring is in full bloom and every so gorgeous around here these days!!
What a fantastic ending to our 3 years of law school. Way to go Duke, you make us proud.
