It's good to be home!

We all made it back to Durham, NC and it has been 3 weeks of crazy traveling. On July 22nd, I left Orange County, CA and drove to Phoenix, AZ to catch a plane to Boston, Mass. I spent 5 days there for a fabulous sister's retreat (pics coming soon) and flew back to mesa. Meanwhile, JOhn is still in CA finishing up his internship. On the 30th, I took the boys and then headed up to our cabin for our first Soelberg family reunion ever. It was so fun to get to know my dad's family better. After a few days John joined us. On Sunday we started making out way to Idaho. Of course we stopped in Provo (August2-3) to see a few friends and get our car detailed at the dealership. Then we headed up to Burley to see JOhn's family. After a week there, Jonah and I caught a plane home and John drove our car across the country with Jack and his dad.... WE MADE IT HOME!!
The sunset from the plane was beautiful!!

I forgot how gorgeous the trees are here in NC!

This little guy was growing on our back porch under the door to our storage, on the cement. Interesting!

Lone Ranger! I knew all of my plants would be dead when I got home ( and I was completely fine with that because I did NOT expect our sub letters to water them. Megan, you did NOT have to buy me a new Orchid. You're so sweet.) but when I did get home... this is what I saw. Can someone explain to me why this ONE leaf is still beautiful and green when the rest are all brown? Obviously, the plant is still alive... Interesting! It's on the back porch gettin a little sunshine.

My boys got in late afternoon and after dinner that night, we went for a walk around our complex to get all the wiggles out. Jack climbed out of the stroller as soon as we took this picture and walked the whole rest of the time. Do you blame the kid? "4 days in the car and my momma thinks I'm sittin in a stroller? Think again :-)" Huge thanks to my wonderful father in law for driving out with John. I'm so glad he didn't have to make that drive by himself.

Jonah sat in his favorite chair and let me unpack suitcase after suitcase...

As soon as Jack walked in the door he would not stop running around the house. He saw all of his toys on his shelves and exclaimed, "Awesome, check out all these toys!! Hey, I think these are mine toys... wait a minute, where's J-dawg?" (that's what he calls Jonah) He was not only noticing that he hadn't seen his toys for 4 months, but more importantly he hadn't seen his little brother for 4 days. After Jonah got BIG kisses from Jack, he quickly went on playing with blocks, cars, and firetrucks. Oh happy day.

It's so good to be home :-)

I'm so sad we missed you guys while you were in Burley. And that is so cute how Jack missed his little brother. Oh yea and we have the same double stroller. :)

It's good to have you back! I saw you at church but didn't get a chance to say 'hi'. Maybe you will make it to Jaime's on Wednesday...
Talk to you soon!

Just looking at the pictures of the old place makes me homesick. You would think after being in Texas for a year that I would feel like this is home, but I still heart North Carolina! Probably because we had some real rockin' friends. A guy named James and his wife Melissa moved into Taylor's pond a couple of weeks ago. James and I grew up in the same neighborhood, and I told him he would be in good hands at Taylor's Pond! Hope all is well...the boys really could be more adorable, and it sounds like Jack's personality is so much fun! (how could it not be with such AWESOME parents?)
