Monday Day #4 in Boston

July 27th, 2009
Our last day in Boston!! Here we go...
Riding the "T" into Boston. Getting ready to walk the Freedom Trail!

Before we got to the Freedom Trail, we stopped at the Duck Pond!

"When the momma duck said, Quack Quack Quack... 9 little girls came waddling back!

We started full of energy!...
Erica and I in front of the Capitol building.
Later that day Erica lost this beautiful hat. We were in the bathroom and one of us said, "Erica I'm so sad you lost your pretty red hat". Erica said, "Me too! It fell off my stroller some where while we were walking". Next thing we knew, the lady in a few stall over said, "Don't mean to eves drop, but I work at a booth just outside and someone turned in a red hat they found on the ground!!" We rushed over with her when we were done and sure enough... it was Erica's!! We were so excited :-)
We stopped at this church because this is where "my country tis of thee" was sang for the first time. Of course, we had to sing it as well. If our husbands were there, they would have been horribly imbarrassed, but thank goodness they weren't because we had a great time!

I loved carrying my little bug around with me all day :-)
We walked... and walked... and walked...
and stopped at another pastry shop along the way
Beautiful Boston
Good ole, Samuel Adams.

Jenica talking on the phone to her love... Joshua!!

Ashlyn and Shelle reinacting the Boston Massicure! When JOhn and I came 3 years ago for the 4th of July, they read the Declaration of Independance from that little window balcony. It was so cool!

Paul Revere Statue... oops, they forgot to get the statue in the picture! Paul Revere
We passed this old Fire Station on the Freedom Trail and of course had to stop to take a picture. Since Boston is such an old city it is one of the only place left with original fire station that is a circular parking garage. That was the trucks don't have to back in, or back out... they just pull around and drive!

Bunker Hill Monument Half of us layed on the nice grass while the other half hiked to the top of the monument... we were exhausted!
A really cool bridge!

Thank goodness the farry took us back so we didnt' have to walk anymore :-)
We're all done! We made it all the way to the end of the freedom trail. Some of us clearly had more energy that others!!

Jonah was also all tuckered out!!

Erica and I with all our baby gear. Claire (9 months) and Jonah (4 months) did SO well stuck in their stroller being pushed all through busy, noisy streets with very little sleep! They were champs.
It was a day full of learning, walking, talking, and being together in one of the most amazing cities in the USA. I love Boston!
