Santa Monica

John often had law firm events on the weekends (that we weren't invited to) so when he had an open weekend, we took advantage of it. Father's Day weekend we went to Santa Monica Beach. It was amazing. Along the beach they had an "adult playground/jungle gym". So fun--

John made it all the way to the top! Daddy is so strong :-) The pier was amazing. It was like a fair on a pier. There was a roller coaster, ferris wheel, food stands, juggling, hula hooping... The best part... we went when all summer programs were advertising their stuff. There tonz of little booths with fun things to do/try/enjoy. Watch Daddy...

We had so much fun riding the farris wheel. The ocean view was spectacular!

When we were getting off the ferris wheel, I said, "remember when we went on that awesome ferris wheel in Bulgaria that over looked the Black Sea? Jack was such a little baby, now Jonah's a tiny baby..." We were reminiscing and I said, "come to think of it I took a picture kissing Jack... and I was wearing this exact shirt... and sunglasses!!" We totally didn't even mean to take the exact same picture but it's kinda fun that we did. Now I'll have to take all my babies on ferris wheels. Not so sure I'll always have the same shirt and sunglasses, but the idea is fun! :-)

Over all, a VERY fun day. So sad our camera died before we got to the beach. But, it was finally warm enough to go swimming! Jack let John take him all the way under the ocean for the first time ever... he loved it. We built sand castles, read books, talked against the crashing waves, and I snuggled my newborn. Life is sweet :-)
