Welcome to FREEZING California

We left the very busy schedule and hot blazing sun in AZ to come to freezing CA. (It was cold the entire month of June). Everyone was in AZ for Amber's wedding, and from there Danny and Shera flew out of PHX to go to Costa Rica. We drove back Monday May 25th (memorial day). My little brother Mark and I drove our car with the 2 little guys that don't need a DVD player (Jonah and Andrew) and John drove back with Anna, David, and Jack in the Walker's car. The drive took WAY too long. Lots of traffic Memorial Day weekend in California. So, we stopped at McDonald's for dinner and all the kids got free ice cream cones. It was awesome. (Truman and Katelyn stayed in AZ with my sister JaNae.)

The next week, Mark and I took care of Andrew, Jonah and Jack during the day and partied with Anna, Davey, and John when they got home from school and work. Mark helped Davey with the coolest diarhama of a great white shark for parent's night. You were suppose to create a shark's "natural environmant" and put it in a shoe box, but Davey's creative 7 year old mind wanted more. He put the shark in a dentist's chair and the dentist was saying, "WOW, look at all those teeth?" His creativity brought a lot of laughs and a proud smile on his face!

Anyway, we hung out all week, then the Marriotts came Friday to start their summer vacation (and brought Katelyn and Truman with them). It felt very strange to be hosting in Shera's house without her being there, but we managed!! Truman came back potty trained (my sister JaNae is the expert potty trainer). Jack took one look at his underwear and said, "Mom, I want to wear those!" And that was the end of diapers as we know it... Totally potty trained from that day on. We had a few accidents, but I think that's pretty expected.

The Marriotts came all the way to CA for "summer vacation" and so of course we had to go to the beach... but it was FREEZING!!

Jana and McKay's family all packed up and leaving CA with NO room to spare. John and I went to a storage unit and picked up about 15+ boxes of UFI stuff for my mom and the Marriotts fit it all in their car. I love how Joseph is screaming, Mikayla is mad, Spencer can hardly keep his eyes open, then Jana and Bekah just hangin out in the back seat!! Too funny.
