Wrightsville Beach

September 14th (the weekend after campout) John had that Monday off, so we spontaniously decided to do a day trip to the beach. It was so much fun. Our good friends (Ashley and Carlton Clauss) came with us. We did a yummy hotdog bbq on the beach then played in the sun the whole afternoon... till sunset.

Thank you sand for entertaing my 2 year old for so long...

Jonah slept for so long that the tide started getting scary close to his "tent". So daddy and Jack built an awesome sand wall to keep the water away! Thanks boys :-)

Then we attempted to do a "photo shoot" with the boys on the beach... but they were both WAY too interested in the sand...

We had a very fun day trip to the beach. It was very strange to watch the sunset behind us as we sat facing the ocean... I guess we are too use to our California sunsets over the ocean! Oh the simple joys of the east coast :-)
