lemons and syrup and cayenne... OH MY!!

Many of you may have heard of a 10 day body cleanse where all you eat/drank is lemonade (consisting of freshly juiced lemons, pure maple syrup, and water) and cayenne pepper.

Well, I am proud do say that my husband just finished his 10 day master cleanse!! I would send him to school with 2 huge water bottles full of this stuff (and 2 cayenne pills) then he would come home to drink another one at "dinner" then a special herbal tea right before bed.

Since I'm nursing Jonah, I couldn't do the cleanse with John so I decided to "cleanse" by body of sugar. I've been very surprised that as I've eliminated sugar, my desire to exercise and eat healthier increases automatically.

I've been making delicious salads lately and this is my newest favorite. Blue cheese, granny smith apples, and walnuts on spring mix greens tossed in balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

On day #10, you get to add orange juice to your caloric intake (John was very excited... he was getting sick of lemonade). That night I made him a yummy broth soup.

Then day #11 you're ready for "Normal Food" and of course what was the first real food John wanted?? A hamburger!! So, here we are at Fudruckers :-)

Where's my burger mom?

His mouth was watering (to say the least).

Now that's a good burger. Clearly he had forgotten how good real food tastes!

Must... have... daddy's... water!

Cold Ice :-)

I got the 3 sliders option (for $5) and it was perfect because Jack got his own burger and I was STUFFED after my 2 little ones! If going with kids... definitely the way to go.

John did it... all 10 days! Way to go babe. And he says he wasn't ever hungry?!?

Okay, that sounded WAY too easy for him! How was he not ever hungry? We were HUNGRY and wanted to CHEW when the 10 days were up! Way to go John and his skinny-minny face! How did that hamburger go ever with his digestive system??
I want to eat your baby boys...have I told you that before?

Wow go John! I have heard of that diet and thought it would be way too hard to do. So good for him, but I think I'll just stick to my slimfast:)
